Water System Improvements Valve Replacement Project Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of constructing Sterrett-Vandiver Water System Improvements Valve Replacement will be let under one Contract, the principal items of work are detailed herein below. 1. 3 PRV Vaults 2. 26 6" Gate Valves 3. 5 12" Gate Valves 4. Miscellaneous Items No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 180 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. Question Deadline 09/20/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
