The Savannah Hilton Head International Airport is a Part 139 Commercial Airport. The
Savannah Airport Commission is responsible for the improvements, maintenance and
operations of the movement and non-movement areas of the airport's ramps, taxiways, and
runways at the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport. The primary runway is Runway
10/28, with a grooved concrete/asphalt surface. Runway 10/28 is 9,351 x 150 ft. The
secondary runway, Runway 1/19 also consists of a grooved, concrete/asphalt surface.
Runway 1/19 is 7,002 x 150 ft. Both runways are served by full-length parallel taxiway
systems.
o Per AC 150/5340-1M (Exhibit B) and the Airfield Marking Handbook, this project
consists of removing rubber build up on the surface of Runway 10/28, approximately
200,000ft2, and repainting all markings on both runway 10/28, excluding runway edge
lines, and runway 1/19, excluding runway edge lines.
o This project will also include cleaning of all Taxiway edge markings as well as the
removal of (2) obsolete "NO TAXI ISLANDS" and accompanying painted signage: 3,600ft2.
The taxiway edge marking cleaning will cover 150,000ft2.
o This project will also include the removal and repainting of all taxiway centerlines. There
are approximately 82,500 ft2 of taxiway centerlines. There will also be 7,000ft2 removal
and replacement of taxiway edge markings. All markings will need to be thoroughly cleaned
before painting is applied, even if they are not a part of complete removal and replacement.
o All paint will be approved TTP 1952f Type 2 waterborne paint with type 1 glass beads.
Reflectorized White: 146,00ft2
Reflectorized Yellow: 49,500 ft2
Non-reflectorized Black: 104,000 ft2
o All work performed in association with this project will be completed during day and
nighttime hours. The Savannah Airport Commission Reserves the Right:
(a) to reject any or all RFQs or any part thereof; and
(b) to waive any irregularities and/or technicalities on the RFQ; and
(c) to accept the Vendor that is in the best interest of SAC; and
(d) to obtain clarification or additional information; and
(e) to purchase either selected items, or to not select any Vendor or purchase any goods
and/or services resulting from this request; and
(f) to reject any Vendor who has previously failed to perform properly or complete on
time projects of a similar nature, or
(g) to reject any Vendor whom an investigation shows Vendor is not in a position to
performthe project and/or service as specified in this RFQ.
(h) to cancel a Purchase Order (PO) and/or contract if the vendor fails to meet the
obligations/agreement in the bid response (i.e., pricing, agreed timeframe of delivery).
