The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified sources to enter into multiple contracts to provide campus-wide General Contractor Services for James Madison University (JMU), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Initial contract shall be for one (1) year with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods. The campus is 721 acres and includes 148 buildings. The Facilities Management department at James Madison University is tasked with maintaining buildings, grounds, and a variety of other structures and systems. The University seeks to contract with multiple licensed and experienced contractors capable of providing general contractor services for on demand projects, valued at up to $1,000,000.00, as needs arise.
