Center Street Stormwater Outfall Question Deadline 10/08/2024 The Project includes the following Work: Upgrading an existing stormwater outfall line from N. Center Street to S. Broad Street to box culverts. The work includes demolishing, removing, and/or abandoning existing pipe, trench rock removal, water and sewer lines, street closures, asphalt cut and patch, sidewalk cut and patch, and coordination efforts with business owners to complete the new storm system install. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractors License, Georgia State Utility Contractors License, or qualifcations with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidders license or qualifcation number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid alone. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 450 calendar days.
