Site work for a water / sewer project in Hanford, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work set forth in the contract documents includes removal of existing cast-in-place concrete pipe and installation of 60" diameter reinforced concrete pipe and related structures. The work is a "public work" subject to prevailing wages and relevant public Labor Code regulations. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid and made payable to Laguna Irrigation District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The Contractor shall be duly licensed under the laws of the State of California to submit a bid and to perform the work. The Contractor shall have a Class A license and shall remain duly licensed throughout the performance of the Contract. The bids will be opened in public at the above prescribed time and date. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, the Laguna Irrigation District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of the bid opening.
