Renovation of a municipal facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
SCOPE OF WORK: Prospective bidder shall carefully examine the site of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. Bidder shall be responsible for measuring and calculating amount of work. Bid price is to include all required dumpster for the removal and proper disposal of all work-related debris. The project is located at 111 NW 1 Street Miami, FL 33128. ESTIMATED COST: $1,842,725.83 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Building Contractor Requests for Information (RFIs): All requests for information (RFIs) shall comply with the Cone of Silence, Administrative Order 3-27 and shall be emailed to marcela.rodriguez@miamidade.gov with a copy to hilario. hernandez@miamidade.gov and clerkbcc@miamidade.gov. The deadline to receive RFIs from bidders is no later than 2 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The project consists of, and is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project, which shall include the replacement of SPCC Eastside Plumbing risers' pipes. This includes the main water, sanitary, and vent lines for P1, P2, P3, P4. All valves, fittings, and couplings will be replaced. Adding isolation valves at each level horizontal branch water line at riser P1. The project also includes the demolition, patch, repair, and painting of any areas needed to gain access to these pipes. The replacement of horizontal plumbing for three (3) private restrooms, 18th floor cafeteria, and 24th floor lounge is also included. Experience Requirement: Bidder or Bidder's Subcontractor shall have completed at least two (2) projects of similar size and scope; in lieu of the references from the Bidder or Bidder's Subcontractor, the County will consider the references from Bidder's key personnel in accordance with Resolution No. R-1122-21. Bidder shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values and contract information for verification purposes. The experience of the bidding or proposing Contractors' key personnel will be considered in assessing the Contractor's experience. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder's Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects, and using additional pages as needed. Contractor must refer to the Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and associated project documents for the detail Scope of Work ( including - WATER RISERS, SANITATION AND VENT RISERS, HORIZONTAL PLUMBING, & BATHROOMS) NOTE: All new horizontal piping shall extend up to the fixture isolation valve. All the fixture isolation valves shall be replaced with a new gate valve. Work to be completed per approved plans minus the already completed scope. Construction Phasing Notes: This plumbing (sanitary, water, vent) replacement to be phased. The goal is to reduce the downtime service for the existing public restrooms and individual restrooms. The following is to provide the contractor with a sequence of construction to be used as a reference. Contractor shall visit the site before construction and provide a detailed sequence of construction to meet the former goal. This proposed sequence may be adjusted by MDC project manager and users to obtain an approved sequence of operation. 1. Riser P1 and associated horizontal branches from roof level, down to ground level. One level at a time to avoid disturbance in several levels. 2. Risers P2, P3, and associated horizontal branches. From roof level down to 5th level. one level at a time to avoid disturbance in several levels. This work to close the men public restrooms at each level during work. 3. Riser P4 and associated horizontal branches. From roof level down to 5th level. One level at a time to avoid disturbance in several levels This work to close the women public restrooms at each level during work. 4. Riser P3, P4 and associated horizontal branches. From 4th level down to ground level. One level at a time to avoid disturbance in several levels This work to close the women public restrooms at each level during work. The project dry-run submittal has been approved by Miami-Dade County Building Department. The process number with Miami-Dade County is C2021041069. The bidder shall include the use of a Miami-Dade County approved inspections provider to perform the required inspections for the duration of the project (price to be included in the Bid).
