Renovation of a municipal facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Commonwealth of MA Trial Court Facilities Management Department is seeking proposals for repairs required to our fire escape per the deficiencies noted during the Certified Inspection of our fire escape at the Charlestown Division - Boston Municipal Court, 3 City Square, Charlestown, MA 02129. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Facilities Management Department Trial Court would like to hire the following trades person to complete the project described below Fire Escape Repair Technician 1. Various connections (bolt, riveted and/or welded) with visible excessive internal rust (rust jacking) are to be repaired/reinforced, re-boltd, (no welding) cleaned and spot primed. 2. All deteriorated material will be reinforced or replaced as needed 3. All wall connections (thru-bolt or cement) must be verified to be in Fair or Good condition and ready for Certification by Load Test 4. Painting of major surface rust and corrosion will be scraped, wire brushed, spot primed and spot painted (1 coat). EPA Guidelines for Lead paint application. 5. Certification by Load Test. Guaranteed acceptance by the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and in compliance with all Codes: IFC (International Fire Code), IBC (International Building Code), NFPA, OSHA, and any applicable State codes. This process will satisfy a 5 year certification requirement
