General construction of the project known as Pump Station Rehabilitation Work includes the following items of work: Demolition, removal, and replacement of pumps, base assemblies and lift out systems, piping, valves, fittings, emergency bypass assemblies, and appurtenances. Removal and replacement of existing electrical controls, systems, and appurtenances. Furnishing and installing ventilation systems where indicated. Removal and replacement of access hatches. Furnishing and installing portable hoist systems and appurtenances. Work specific to renovation of the Big Park Pump Station includes but is not limited to the removal and replacement of doors and windows, sandblasting and painting, replacement of lighting systems, replacement of heating systems, replacement of roofing system, pointing and repairing of brick façade, and other miscellaneous work. Removal and replacement of paving and landscaping where indicated. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Town of Georgetown may appear, to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in Bids received, and to accept or reject any Items of any Bid as is most advantageous to the Town of Georgetown. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the Town of Georgetown in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. The Town of Georgetown hereby notifies all that it will affirmatively ensure that in all Contracts it enters into, Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit BIDS, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin in consideration of an Award.
