This section of Woodland Road is 1.2 miles in length and designated as a future arterial road. The existing road either does not yet exist or is a narrow asphalt ditch section roadway, with a typical 22-foot-wide asphalt surface. This project will require floodplain study and new alignment for a bridge structure over the western tributary to Mill Creek. Some of the new roadway may be considered for a Green Collector and some will have curb and gutter. ROW cost, existing rock, and steep topography of the area will limit the effective use of ditches. This project will include grading, widening, new asphalt, new curbs when required to control drainage, a shared use path on one side, streetlights, and storm drainage facilities. As of May 15, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2025-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).Design expected to begin in January 2027 and construction in January 2028, with completion end of year 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
