As of February 7, 2025, project has been awarded, design team identified. The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering & Contract Administration (DECA) is seeking professional design services for the Department of Corrections (DOC) to develop specifications and bid documents as well as contract administration consulting services for the Northpoint Training Center Restrictive Housing Unit. Work includes but is not limited to replace security windows, doors, and door controls. Add alternates will be protective coating in the showers, cell floors, and cell walls. This project requires the services of an Architect and/or Engineer registered in Kentucky. Respondents are to provide, in their response submittal, Kentucky Architectural Registration or Kentucky Board of Registration for Professional Engineers numbers for each Architect and/or Engineer that will be providing services for this project. Project Budget: $1,800,000.00 Design & Construction The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Any individual, partnership, association, corporation, or other business entity claiming resident bidder status shall submit along with its response the attached Required Affidavit for Bidders, Offerors, and Contractors Claiming Resident Bidder Status. The BIDDING AGENCY reserves the right to request documentation supporting a bidder's claim of resident bidder status. Failure to provide such documentation upon request shall result in disqualification of the bidder or contract termination. A nonresident bidder shall submit, along with its response, its certificate of authority to transact business in the Commonwealth as filed with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Secretary of State. The location of the principal office identified therein shall be deemed the state of residency for that bidder. If the bidder is not required by law to obtain said certificate, the state of residency for that bidder shall be deemed to be that which is identified in its mailing address as provided in its bid.
