The Work includes the following major items: Furnishing and installing drainage and environmental improvements, including but not limited to, storm drain systems, culverts, outfalls, stormwater management facilities, and small stream restoration projects. The scope of the project is to accomplish construction of storm drain related projects primarily in the Western / Southern Road Operations Maintenance District areas of the County. Refer to the map on Page 11 of the Special General Provisions for additional information regarding the District boundaries. The project will proceed on an on-call basis. Work will include construction of closed and/or open drainage systems and related structures, new or retrofit stormwater management facilities, step pools, and other water and environmental restoration projects, including all materials, equipment, labor, and appurtenances necessary to complete the work on multiple assignments. There may be instances when the Contractor will be required to respond immediately to emergency situations to repair or replace drainage facilities which will require off-hour work such as Holidays, nights and weekends. The Bidders shall take this into consideration when preparing their bid. The County reserves the right to bid any project that is estimated to be in excess of $300,000. The Contractor must be prepared to react to the full award amount of the contract.
