COUNTY has employed CONTRACTOR to provide services for the Spartanburg County Cardinal Street, Center Street, Dickson Road, and Old John Dodd Road Culvert Replacement. Approximate award date 10/24/2024 05:00 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). Proposer shall submit with their proposal a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal price. This bond may be in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bank Money Order of any national or state bank and shall be made payable to Spartanburg County. The successful proposer, within three (3) working days after acceptance of the proposer's offer by the County, shall furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the amount of the total proposal price. After issuance of a purchase order any changes that result in additional cost to Spartanburg County must be submitted in writing to Ron Kirby, PE at rkirby@spartanburgcounty.org for prior written approval. For bidding purposes, please assume that work associated with this contract may begin as early as October 21, 2024, for Cardinal Street, Center Street, and Dickson Road. Construction for Old John Dodd Road Culvert Replacement may not begin prior to August 15, 2025, due to ongoing repair of existing culvert that must be completed by County crews. As of November 18,2024, project was awarded to Raby Construction Company, LLC, Inc., but awarded amount is not available. If the contractor fails to complete the work outlined within the contract by the final completion date, then the contractor is liable for liquidated damages for each calendar day past the specified completion date at a rate of $100.00 per day.
