Renovation of a transportation facility in Danville, Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a 6,700-square-foot transportation facility.

*As of October 21, 2024 this project bid has been cancelled. It is unclear when or if this will go back out to bid. Hangar 300 is approximately 6,700 square foot pre-engineered metal building to be used as a storage facility for small aircraft. Plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems are provided. Preparatory sitework will be completed under a separate contract. Please note this project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Bonds: 5% Bid bond; 100% performance and payment bonds. Time of Completion: All work must be completed within one year from Notice to Proceed Liquidated Damages: $500.00 dollars per calendar day. Award: A. The award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, with consideration given to completion time. B. The City reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received. C. The award will be made to the proposal conforming to the IFB and will be most advantageous to the City.
