**As of November 12,2024, project was awarded to Everon, LL, awarded amount is $44,990.68.** The County of Colusa (COUNTY) is requesting bids (RFB) from licensed contractors to upgrade the alarm system within the Clerk-Recorder's Office and security camera system in the Historic Courthouse at 547 Market St., Colusa, Ca., more specifically detailed in the Scope of Work of this RFB. Bidders are welcome to submit bids for one or both projects. This is a public works contract subject to Department of Industrial Relations registration and payment of prevailing wage. Time of Completion: Project A, alarm system, is to be completed by January 31st, 2025. Project B, camera system, is to be completed by January 31st, 2025. Question Deadline 10/01/2024 at 2:00 PM PT Any questions regarding this RFB can be submitted to online. All bids shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a security bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid amount to guarantee the bid. Upon award to the lowest bidder, the security of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned no later than sixty (60) days from the date the contract is awarded. The County will accept the following forms of security: 1) Cash; 2) A cashier's check made payable to the County; 3) A certified check made payable to the County; or 4) A bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, made payable to the County Payment Bond: Pursuant to Chapter 5, of Title 3, of Part 6, of Division 4 of the California Civil Code, if the Contract compensation exceeds $25,000, Contractor shall, before commencement of any work, provide County with a payment bond equal to 100% of the compensation payable in accordance with this Contract to secure the Contractor's, and any subcontractor's, performance and provide coverage for the services to be provided pursuant to this Contract by Contractor and any subcontractor. Performance Bond: A performance bond is required in order to ensure completion of the work required under this Contract in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract price. Award: The Project shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20128. Department of Industrial Relations Registration: All contractors and subcontractors shall register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to California Labor Code sections 1771.1 and 1725.5 prior to bidding on the Project. The County will not consider bids from bidders who have not registered in compliance with the law Withdrawing Bids: No Vendor may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening thereof, and no bid security shall be released prior to said date; provided, however, that the County may release the Bid and Bid security of unsuccessful vendors after confirming the technical and formal sufficiency of the Bid and Bid security of the three (3) lowest vendors. In no event shall the Bid for security of the three (3) lowest vendors be released before execution with the County of Colusa of an Agreement with the successful vendor, or the expiration of ninety (90) days, whichever occurs first. Rejection of Bids: The County of Colusa reserves all rights to utilize any alternate procedure authorized by the Public Contract Code Sections 20150.9 and 20150.10, including but not limited to rejecting all bids and/or to waive any informality in the RFB process. The County of Colusa reserves the right to reject any bids. Bid date info : Each bid shall be enclosed and submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing the project name, the bidder's name, contractor's license type and number, and expiration date.
