Roads to be resurfaced include: Lakeview Drive, from Carnoustie Drive to Baldwin County 12 West Peachtree Avenue, from North Cedar Street to Alabama 59 If funds are available, the city will also seek bids on an alternative, elective resurfacing project for 1.54 miles an alley between West Orange Avenue and West Myrtle Avenue. Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich said he would like to see alleys included in the annual study of road conditions, as the city currently only appraises streets. New billboard seeks leads in Mobile County psychiatric hospital cold case “We want the alleys to be part of this,” Hellmich said. “We’re looking at multiple alleys all over the city. Some of them are in worse condition than others. We will be creating this alley grading system as a subset.” ------------- for constructing the Intersection Improvements (Additional Turn Lanes and Traffic Signal Upgrades) on SR-42 (US-98) at CR-87 east of Foley. Length 0.245 mi. The Bracket Estimate on this project is from $872,950 to $1,066,939 . Minimum Wage Rates have been pre-determined by the Secretary of Labor and are set forth in the advertised specifications. Federal Aid Projects are also subject to the contract work hours and Safety Standards Act and its implementing regulations. The Alabama Department of Transportation, proposals will be issued only to prequalified contractors or their authorized representatives, upon requests that are received before 10 AM., on the day previous to the day of opening of bids. The bidder's proposal must be submitted on the complete original proposal furnished him or her by the Alabama Department of Transportation. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved.
