Braintree - Sewer System Rehabilitation - Year 11 Sewer System Rehabilitation - Year 11 The scope of work for Base Bid includes construction of approximately: 250 vertical feet of cementitious lining of manholes; furnish and install manhole inflow dish in four (4) manholes; install internal drop connection at one (1) sewer manhole; raise manhole frame and cover to grade at five (5) manholes; 7,150 linear feet of cured-in-place pipe; three (3) lateral liners; location and inspection of five (5) sewer manholes; and other related tasks. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals and Equal Employment Opportunity policies of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) and the Town of Braintree are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 5.00 percent D/MBE Participation or any combination of the two. All DBES shall be certified by the commonwealth of Massachusetts under the provisions certified by the supplier diversity office (SDO). Note that these DBE amounts are goals, not strict requirements. Information reported in the Television and Manhole Inspection Logs are those observed in the field at the particular location and time the observations were made, and do not necessarily represent the present conditions. 1.02 SCOPE: A. TELEVISION INSPECTION LOGS: 1. Television inspection of existing pipelines has been performed, with reasonable care. The results of the inspection program are appended hereto and are a part of the Contract Documents. Videos of what was encountered at the time of the inspection may be seen by appointment, upon request, during the bidding period at the office of Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., 100 Foxborough Boulevard, Foxborough, MA 02035. Contractors may, after obtaining Owner's permission, carry out additional pipeline inspection, at no expense to the Owner. 2. Television Inspection Logs provided in Attachment A of these Contract Documents are limited by the methods used for obtaining and expressing such data, and is subject to various interpretations. The terms used to describe conditions encountered are subject to local usage and individual interpretation. 3. Television inspections have been taken substantially at the locations indicated on the drawings and shown on the logs. Information presented in the inspection logs, as to the pipe condition, material build up in the pipe; etc. is based on visual observation from the videos. Information reported on the Television Inspection Logs are those observed in the field at the particular location and at the time the videos were taken, and do not necessarily represent the present conditions. Condition of the pipeline, material build up in the pipe, and other factors may differ now from those originally observed. Contractors should be aware that present conditions might affect methods of construction. B. MANHOLE INSPECTION LOGS: 1. Manhole inspections of existing manhole structures have been performed, with reasonable care. The results of the inspection programs are appended hereto and are a part of the Contract Documents. Photographs of what was encountered in the manholes at the time of the inspection may be seen upon request during the bidding period at the office of Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., 100 Foxborough Boulevard, Foxborough, MA. Contractors may, after obtaining Owner's permission, carry out additional manhole inspections at no expense to the Owner. 2. Manhole Inspection Logs provided in Appendix B of these Contract Documents are limited by the methods used for obtaining and expressing such data and is subject to various interpretations. The terms used to describe conditions encountered are subject to local usage and individual interpretation. 3.
