Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Project Description: Fort Leavenworth plans to renovate Building 61 to accommodate additional load to support the Simulation Control Plan. The scope of the project includes the design of load distribution upgrades and new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), exterior to Building 61, that will intercept the secondary of the building's transformer and feed into the Main Service Panel (MSP), as presented in the USACE Kansas City District Building 61 Electrical Study's Final Report. During the kick-off meeting, Fort Leavenworth DPW identified additional desired upgrades for the building to enhance simulation exercise capabilities. Additional design effort includes Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) network communication ports and power to the seminar tables in Rooms 201 and 202, six (6) additional 120V 20A circuits in Digital Lab Room 106, a new HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) system fully compatible with the existing Automated Logic base-wide system, replacement of five (5) existing boilers, and replacement of existing chiller with an obsolete refrigerant.
