City hall phase 2 renovations pre-qualified filed subs and general contractors Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The City of Chicopee, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Pre-Qualified DCAMM Certified General Contractors for: Chicopee City Hall Interior Renovation Project in Chicopee, Massachusetts 01013 in accordance with documents prepared by Dietz & Company Architects, Inc. 55 Frank B. Murray Street Suite 201, Springfield MA 01103. The project scope generally is as follows: Chicopee City Hall is a State and National Register-listed historic building that is situated at Market Square in the center of Chicopee, Massachusetts and consists of the Main Building, Connector, and Annex. The Building was built in two time periods; the Main Building in 1871 and the Annex and Bridge were added in 1929. Chicopee City Hall is historically significant and renovations are required to comply with the Secretary of Interior Standards and Guidelines. The work to be done under this contract consists of executing and completing all work required for Chicopee City Hall Interior Renovations. Project Location: 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA. General Information: The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Renovation/Reconfiguration of building interiors and offices at the Main Building and Annex and associated structural work. 2. Hazardous Materials required for new work (i.e. asbestos, lead, mold remediation, and universal wastes). 3. Modify/replace MEP/FP, Telecomm, Security/Access Control for new configuration, including secure building access for staff. Project to include a new electrical system (i.e. switchgear, feeders, panels, rewiring of branch circuits, new electrical devices, etc.). 4. New LED lighting and controls. 5. Replace emergency generator and transfer switches. 6. New audio-visual system for the proposed Multipurpose Room at the Annex 4th floor, conference rooms, and departments. 7. TV broadcast systems and associated specialty lighting in the proposed Multipurpose Room. 8. Replace wall and ceiling diffusers and select baseboard radiation and covers. 9. New floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, window treatments, ACT ceilings, signage, and casework throughout and refinishing of existing historic finishes. 10. Replacement of doors and hardware. 11. New entrance canopy at the Annex north entrance. 12. Masonry and foundation repairs. 13. Foundation waterproofing. Doc note - If paper copy of the plans and specifications are requested they can be picked up at Chicopee City Hall at the Purchasing Department, a separate non-refundable shipping and handling/mailing fee in the form of a company check payable to "City of Chicopee" in the amount of $75.00 is required per set. A refundable deposit of $300.00 required upon pickup by check payable to "City of Chicopee" that will be returned to the bidder upon the City's receipt back of the Complete Bid Documents in usable/good condition. If the entity does not return the Bid Documents this refundable deposit will be keep by the City. All questions and requests for clarifications or interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents shall be in writing, addressed to, City of Chicopee Purchasing Department c/o Brian Salamon, Director, 274 Front Street 2nd Floor Chicopee, MA 01013, phone (413) 594-1557, email bsalamon@chicopeema.gov and to be given consideration must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for opening of the bids
