VCT Flooring Installation Oconto County is seeking a vendor for the removal and disposal of old VCT flooring and the installation new VCT flooring as well as waxing of the new floor and installation of a vinyl cove base at the county owned building located at 222 W. Park St. Gillett, WI 54124. This facility houses New View Industries, a department within Oconto County Health and Human Services. Work to be completed in several hallways, 10 o"ices, 1 reception area, 2 janitor closets, 4 classrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 storage areas, 2 kitchens, and 1 lunchroom. The original footprint of the building was completed in 1980, with additions added on in 1990 and 2003. As a result, the current VCT flooring ranges from 21 to 44 years old. With a general lifespan of 20 years when well maintained, the current flooring is in need of replacing. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Removal of current 4" vinyl cove base and 6" wood base. County will dispose of materials in dumpsters on site. 2. Removal of existing VCT tiles and adhesive. County will dispose of materials in dumpsters on site. 3. Installation of new VCT tiles. Some minor floor preparation and leveling may be required due to the age of the facility. 4. Installation of new 4" vinyl cove base. Some sections in a hallway will require installation of 6" vinyl cove base to cover wall where previous 6" wood base existed. 5. Stripping new floor and applying four layers of wax.
