Walnut Sewer Improvements A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids. The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so. Separate sealed Bids for the Walnut Sewer Improvements for the Fairlawn Sewer Authority which consists of the replacement of approximately 500 feet of gravity sewer, replacement of three (3) manholes, and all related appurtenances. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
