Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.
The Project includes the following Work: Utility Construction: approximately 2,000' of PVC water main (6" -8") including valves, hydrants, appurtenances and services; approximately 1,425' of PVC sanitary sewer (8") and 550' of force main (4") including manholes and laterals; approximately 1,600' of storm sewer, RCP and HDPE (12"-30") including manholes and inlets. Roadway Construction: approximately 1,700' of roadway excavation and grading, geotextile fabric, breaker run, dense graded base, hot mix asphalt, concrete & asphalt driveway replacement, concrete sidewalk and concrete curb & gutter. Tree removal, clearing, grubbing, site restoration, traffic control and erosion control are included in the project. The anticipated substantial completion date for utility installation is July, 31, 2025; for roadway excavation, concrete and asphalt paving is August 29, 2025; all work including sidewalk, storm sewer, grading and restoration near the lift station is November 15, 2025 and final completion date is May 30, 2026. This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program AND Clean Water Fund Program funding. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs) to submit bid proposals. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and primary contractor, in awarding subcontracts, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. Admin. Code. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractor. This project anticipates use of funds related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The Contractor shall conform to the statutory requirements known as "Build America, Buy America" which applies to all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
