The City of Brookhaven solicits competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the 2024 LMIG Street Resurfacing Project. The awardee shall provide to the City of Brookhaven all aspects of asphalt maintenance, including, but not limited to, milling, full-depth restoration, hauling materials, resurfacing operations, adjustment of roadway appurtenances (manhole/water valve adjustment, etc.), all required machinery, thermo-stripping, resident notification, and traffic control. This bid package contains a bid sheet to be completed and returned by the bid submission deadline to qualify for this award. Specification of the maintenance of each road segment is provided in the scope below. The awarded bidder must self-perform tasks constituting a minimum of (50%) of the value of this contract. All communications regarding this solicitation must be with the Purchasing Manager, Purina Alexander, purina.alexander@brookhavenga.gov. Questions are due no later than October 08, 2024, at 4:00 PM EST. Questions received after this date and time may not be answered. The City of Brookhaven reserves the right to reject all bids, waive technicalities and informalities, remove or replace materials or quantities, award the bid in part or in whole to different qualified bidders, and award contracts based on the best interest of the City of Brookhaven. The City of Brookhaven is not responsible for any technical difficulties. It is highly recommended that all potential contractors submit their quotes before the due date of this solicitation. The services to be performed under this Contract shall commence upon the date stated in the Notice to Proceed Letter. The contract period for this project is 60 days from the date cited in the Notice to Proceed Letter. Upon the completion of the full scope of work, the contract shall terminate absolutely and without further obligation as required by O.C.G.A. 36-60-13, as amended, unless terminated earlier under the provisions of this Contract.
