The State of Kansas is issuing this Request for Proposal to obtain competitive responses from vendors to furnish rest area maintenance services, consumable supplies and grounds and minor building maintenance and cleaning for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) at the Ruleton Rest Area and Entry Way at the Travel Information Center Building, KDOT No. 3-2515 (WB) and 3-2516 (EB), located at Mile Post 7 on I-70, 10 miles west of the K-27 Interchange in Sherman County, Kansas. Questions requesting clarification of the Bid Event must be submitted electronically (MS Word) to the Procurement Officer (Event Contact) Email: lara.j.williams@ks.gov prior to close of business on October 7, 2024. Impromptu questions may be permitted, and spontaneous unofficial answers provided, however bidders should understand that the only official answer or position of the State of Kansas will be presented in writing. Period of Contract: January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2029 Bid Guarantee: No monetary bid guarantee required. The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or part of a proposal; to waive any informalities or technicalities; clarify any ambiguities in proposals; modify any criteria in this RFP; and unless otherwise specified, to accept any item in a proposal.
