A pre-bidding conference is not planned, questions should be directed to Euris.Gonzalez@mass.gov by Close of Business Friday 10/4/2024 The project consists of the maintenance and repair of DCR Pools systems and equipment including filter and mechanical systems, pool shell and gutters, electrical, safety equipment, painting, and miscellaneous other items. The work is to be accomplished within 1095 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 500.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises. Proposed MBE/WBE plans that include solely MBE or solely WBE , or do not include a reasonable amount by both MBE and WBE firms to meet the combined requirements, will not be considered responsive. The applicable local minority workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 15.3%. The applicable local women workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 6.9%. The Commonwealth requires participation of Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VOBE) on its construction projects. The Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise benchmark for this contract is 3.0%. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit, payable to the Department of Conservation and Recreation in the amount of 5% of the bid. All Bidders for this project are required to be certified with the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) Mechanical Systems and must submit with the bid an update of their respective qualifications.
