Demolition and site work for a civil project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

Demolition of the existing Structure No. 2 at the Falcon Lake Dam and replacement with a new reinforced concrete box culvert complete with overshot (tilting weir) gates and operation platform. Construction staging will consist of a two-stage construction utilizing a shoofly detour and will include full restoration of the existing site including repaving the disturbed area. The Existing Structure No. 1 (CSP plate Girder) to the north will remain as is and be used to pass flow during construction. Completion Model the Contract Will Be Assessed Liquidated Damages in Accordance With the Specification for Liquidated Damages - Completion Specified by Completion Date. Liquidated Damages Sub Completion Date the Culvert, Platform and Stoplogs Must Be Operable, and All Work Other Than Installation of the Permanent Weir Gate, Paving, Site Restoration and Revegetation Must Be Completed by No Later Than March 31, 2025 (the "Sub- Completion Date"). Daily Liquidated Damages After This Specified Sub-completion Date Will Be Charged to the Contractor at the Rate of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars Per Calendar Day Until the Work is Completed. In Addition to the Daily Liquidated Damages, a Lump Sum Liquidated Damage of Twenty-five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars Will Be Charged to the Contractor if the Work is Not Completed by March 31, 2025. In Addition, the Lump Sum Liquidated Damages Will Be Charged to the Contractor on a Recurrent Annual Basis Until Substantial Completion. Completion Date All Remaining Work Including Installation of the Permanent Weir Gate, Paving, Site Restoration, and Revegetation Must Be Completed by No Later Than July 31, 2025. Daily Liquidated Damages After This Specified Completion Date Will Be Charged to the Contractor at the Rate of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars Per Calendar Day Until the Work is Completed. The Maximum Liquidation Damage Charged at Any Given Time Shall Be One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars Per Calendar Day Until the Work is Completed. Seasonal Shutdown Date No in-water Work Allowed Between April 1 and June 15 of Any Year. Lane Closures Shall Not Be Permitted Between May Long Weekend and September Long Weekend of Any Year Excepting the Work Required Under the Completion Date Without Specific Approval From Mti and Must Be Limited to the Absolute Minimum Possible.
