The City of Manassas is soliciting bids from licensed Bidders to provide electrical maintenance, repair and installation services for routine jobs, general renovations, project work, and emergency procurements at various City facilities on an as needed basis. All work shall be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all other applicable codes for the City of Manassas. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. An award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s) meeting the requirements of the solicitation. Unit prices, extensions and total must be shown. In case of arithmetic errors, the unit price will govern. If the City decides to make multiple awards to a pool of providers, contract awards shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidders beginning with the lowest bid and continuing in ascending order until the City feels the need has been met The City reserves the right to request a performance and payment bond on any task order that exceeds $100,000.00. In the event the City requires a Performance and Payment Bond for a specific task order, the Contractor shall deliver to the purchasing office executed Virginia Standard Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the sum of the one hundred percent (100%) of the task order amount, with the City as oblige. The surety shall be a surety company or companies approved by the State Corporation Commission to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. No payment shall be due and payable to the Contractor even if the Contract has been performed in whole or in part, until the bonds have been delivered to and approved by the purchasing office.
