As of November 25,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Developers to submit expressions of interest and qualifications to redevelop a valuable, 5.47 acre property owned by the City. The property in question is at the southern gateway to Lexington, and has close proximity to Lexington s historic downtown, Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, the Lexington Gold Course and Country Club, and Natural Bridge State Park. The City of Lexington expects the redevelopment of this property will be catalytic for other redevelopment along the South Main Street Opportunity Area.
