Renovation of a museum in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,200-square-foot museum.
**As of December 23, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. No questions will be received after 12:00 pm on October 16, 2024. The Town of Newbury is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of the historic schoolhouse roof, installed to manufacturers specifications. The historic schoolhouse is located at the Lower Green at the corner of Newman and High Roads in Newbury, MA. A pre-bid conference / site visit has been scheduled for 10/15/24 at 1:00pm at the front entrance of the schoolhouse. o The roof is approximately 12,000 sq. feet o The contractor will be responsible for the stripping and disposal of old roof o Any rotten wood to be replaced with in kind materials o Synthetic Cedar Shake Specs o Length: 22" x +- 1/8" o Width: 5" +- 1/8", 7" +-1/8", 12" +-1/8" o Exposure: 10" o Color: Canyon Gray o Must pass Class A & C Weatherometer, uplift bend, temperature cycling, and penetration o Wind resistant: All tiles must withstand wind speeds of up to 188mph with ring shank nails up to 211mph with screw installation o Must be Fire Resistant Class A & C and Impact Resistance Class 4 o Massachusetts Prevailing wages apply o Bid Deposit of 5% of the value of total bid o Payment Bond of 50% (after award) o OSHA Training Required (after award)
