Bids for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the electronic forms provided for all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: Construction of approximately 46,215 L.F. of 18-inch PVC and D.I.P. gravity sewer line Epoxy Lined, 203 L.F. of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer line, 167 each 5'-0 diameter precast concrete manholes with frame and covers, 1,817 L.F. 18-inch Steel Casing (0.375" W.T.) by jack and bore, 279 L.F. 18-inch Steel Casing (0.375" W.T.) by open cut, 38 L.F. 16-inch Steel Casing (0.312" W.T.) by open cut, clearing and grubbing approximately 39.97 acres, grassing of all disturbed areas, installation and maintenance of best management practices, stormwater monitoring, rock excavation, abandon one lift station and all appurtenances. Bidders must have a Utility Contractor's license and Utility Manager's certificate. A copy of both will be required with bid submission. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of Columbia County, Georgia, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for Columbia County, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Columbia County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. Letters of credit will not be accepted.
