Site work for a water / sewer project in Homewood, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of constructing the New London Water System Improvements Easonville Water Line DWSRF Project No. FS010196-02, Contract No. 2 The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Principal Work: 1. 6,300 LF of 12" Ductile Iron Pipe 2. 2 Wet Connections 3. 1-75 LF Road Bore All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 270 consecutive calendar days and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed if the Contract Time is Exceeded. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages.
