The Proposed Work Includes: The construction of the new Well No. 9 and includes new well, pitless unit, pump and appurtenances; new CMU Block Building including treatment system, piping system, HVAC system, plumbing, electrical, controls, instrumentation; site piping, fencing, and grading; approximately 1,420 LF of 8-in waterline construction including highway bore; and construction of a new multileg water storage tower. Requirement is further explained in the specifications. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. Bid envelope must state "Salem Water System Improvements". Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. All Labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards.
