Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Cantonment, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a two-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The Escambia County Department of Waste Services located at 13009 Beulah Road, Cantonment, FL 32533 is looking for a responsible qualified contractor to demolish a metal building on site. This is a two story metal building with a concrete second floor. Additionally there is a metal conveyor system that will need to be removed connecting the demo structure to an adjacent building. A section of Metal floor that was the end of the conveyor system will also need to be removed from within the adjacent building. Power and water have been disconnected. Background The structure for demo is a large two story metal building with a concrete second floor. The structure was used as a sorting area for recyclables which utilized a large conveyor system that will need to be removed. Power and water are not connected to the structure. The contractor shall comply with local, state, and federal safety codes/requirements for this work. Supplies & equipment may be staged onsite by the structure for the entirety of the project. All work is to be performed during normal operating hours of the Perdido Landfill which are Monday through Friday 0700 (7am) - 1700 (5pm) & Saturday 0700 (7am) - 1530 (330pm). During these hours the contractor will have access to the facility and may enter the premises through the back gate. It is at the contractors discretion on whether they want to take the structure materials offsite themselves for recycling. If the contractor chooses to dispose of the materials on site, they will be responsible for loading & unloading the materials in the designated waste / recycling areas. It is the responsibility of the contractor to secure any owned unattended belongings (tools, equipment. etc..) while onsite. It is up to the contractor to determine the best method for demolition on this project. Note: the entire second story floor is a concrete slab. Existing ground level slab will be re-used, please avoid damaging the base concrete. All drawings and pictures included within this document are for measurement & location reference only and not to be used for anything other than that. These are provided purely for contractor convenience and not to be utilized as construction plans or instructions on how to proceed with the project. Demolition and removal of the two-story metal building. This includes all attached appurtenances. 2. Demolition and removal of conveyor system between the demo building and existing site building. 3. Removal and disposal of asbestos - Pending Asbestos report - None is expected due to the nature of the building construction, but the Asbestos report will be uploaded as an addendum to this project upon its completion. Inspection is scheduled for October 1st. 4. Removal of metal floor section within existing adjacent building. 5. Contractor must have adequate on-site dust control and erosion measures in place. 6. Maintain protection of adjacent structures, utilities, and properties. 7. Include all costs necessary to complete the job in its entirety. Contractor will be responsible for pulling demo permit with Escambia County. The building to be demolished is vacant. Utilities to the building have been terminated. The conveyor system & metal floor section is attached to an actively used structure. Care should be taken during the removal of these items. Existing base slab and surrounding asphalt are not to be destroyed.
