The Work includes all that is required for replacing the existing controllers and modifications to the cooling system on diesel generators 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Manitoba Hydro’s Shamattawa Diesel Generating Station. Descriptions of ITEMS of the Work listed below are provided as a general overview. Detailed Purchaser’s Requirements are provided in the Technical Requirements. ITEM 1: Mobilization and Demobilization Contractor to mobilize all Material, Tools and Equipment required to complete the Work at the beginning of the project. Contractor to demobilize upon completion of the project. A United Rentals JCB Model: 510-56 S Telehandler has been mobilized to Shamattawa by the Purchaser. Contractor is responsible to take over the rental agreement and demobilize the equipment at the end of the project. ITEM 2: Control Upgrade Contractor to salvage and install new cable and electrical components required for the upgrade of the existing diesel generator (units 1, 2, 3 and 4) controllers to ECMP 4.4 controllers. Contractor is required to provide support to Manitoba Hydro and Toromont, during the commissioning phase of this equipment. ITEM 3: Cooling Upgrade Contractor to salvage existing cooling system for diesel generator units 1, 2 and 3 and install a new system for each. The cooling system for unit 4 requires modifications. The cooling system requires the Contractor to install new electrical and mechanical components. Contractor is required to provide support to Manitoba Hydro and Toromont during the commissioning phase of this system.
