Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Banning, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Banning (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms for the Design of the Hargrave Grade Separation. The project limits are generally along Hargrave Street between Ramsey Street to the North and Lincoln Street to the South, and between Florida Street to the West and John Street to the East. The project will design a grade separated crossing along the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR). Project goals include: Complete project within the budget. Optimize the design to minimize traffic impacts to the community, traveling public and the railroad. Design a project that minimizes future maintenance. Maintain trust of the public and stakeholders. Perform 'extension of staff' services for grant compliance Meetings can be held through Teams unless the City requests an on-site meeting. The following is provided as a guideline as to what the City of Banning expects in the scope of work for the project; however, this is just a guideline. Consultant shall provide services necessary to provide a complete (construction ready) project. Modifications to the scope below may be necessary and the information below does not constitute all the necessary work for the consultant to complete the project. Roadway Design All pavement, sidewalk, and roadway redesign from Ramsey Street to Lincoln Street including I- 10 E/W on and off ramps. Pedestrian Guardrails, impact attenuators and other safety barriers. Bridge/Railroad Track Design Development of concept level Preliminary Bridge Plans. Design of all temporary track work, including any associated shoo-fly track alignment to serve as a temporary shoo-fly bypass to allow staged construction. Develop an acceptable staging scheme, including preliminary design of vertical shoring/sheet piling as necessary to stabilize a temporary shoo-fly alignment and adjacent embankments. Professional engineering design services to develop preliminary and final Design plans for the new UPRR track. Geotechnical/Retaining Walls Geotechnical recommendations for all retaining walls. Geotechnical recommendations for temporary shoring for shoo-fly track. Traffic Traffic Control plans including alternate pedestrian route plans. New permanent signing for all geometric changes. Traffic control signal system for the I-10 E/W on and off ramps. Street lighting for the new roadway. Pavement Marking (Striping). Hydrology & Hydraulics Evaluation of existing drainage and development of preliminary and final Hydrology and Hydraulic reports. Erosion control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) design.
