The City of Banning ("City") is seeking a qualified entity or individual ("Company") to provide the goods and/or services described herein. The City anticipates selecting one firm to perform the services. Sewer Main Lining Bids are requested from Companies that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this Invitation for Bids ("IFB"). Any and all other bidding communications shall only be with Barbara Mason, Purchasing Manager, using the phone number listed within this document. Companies bidding on this project shall not communicate with any other City Staff members or they risk being disqualified. Requires a valid Class "A" Contractor's license issued by the California State Contractors License Board at the time of bid submission. 10% Bid Bond is required at the time of bid submission. Thirty (30) Working Days to complete the project. If not, the city may impose liquidated damages at $700 per Calendar Day. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon Contract award, the Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. All Bonds must be issued by a California admitted Surety insurer using the forms set forth in the Contract Documents, or in any other form approved by the City Attorney. Failure to enter into the Contract with the City, including the submission of all required Bonds, business license, and insurance coverages, within fifteen (15) Days after the date of the written notice of contract award to the Bidder, shall subject the Bid security to forfeiture to the extent provided by law.
