Furnish, deliver, install, and modify Mobile Classroom Containers per Attached Specifications or Approved Equal. Every bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Boston. A bid bond shall be (1) in a form satisfactory to the department, (b) issued by a good and sufficient surety licensed and otherwise qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Insurance and appearing on the current U.S. Department of the Treasury List of approved sureties (circular 570) and satisfactory to the Department, and (c) conditioned upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreement contained in the bid. - The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the value of the total contract amount as listed in the "Total Bid" price on the Bid Summary Sheet. A materials/payment bond in the sum of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of the contract will be required for all contracts in the total amount of the contract, as reflected in the "Total Bid Price" listed on the bid event is between $25,000 and $150,000.
