The scope of work consists of replacing the existing traffic signal equipment (signal poles, signal heads, traffic controller assembly, electrical service equipment, signs, etc.) which has experienced significant corrosion due to the close proximity to the coast. All pedestrian traffic signal equipment will also be replaced and upgraded (signal heads, pedestrian push buttons, etc.), along with new raised concrete islands and access ramps to facilitate pedestrian traffic. The estimated cost of construction is between $900,000.00 and $1,100,000.00. To be eligible for the award, bidders shall possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license at the time of bidding. All responses to RFI questions shall be provided for clarification and information only and issued by formal addendum. Any amendments to the solicitation shall be made by formal addendum and posted in online. If there is a conflict between the solicitation and information stated in the pre-bid conference, the meeting minutes, and/or the responses to RFI questions, the solicitation shall govern and control, unless as amended by formal addendum.
