Scope of work includes: Sand blast or grinding to remove existing coatings on pool floor, walls, stairs, in both Main and Dive pools; prime and seal joints; apply epoxy coating (paint) to all pool surfaces, lane lines and targets. This project is anticipated to begin: after September 1, 2025 and be completed by May 1, 2026- weather permitting. Addenda questions are due by 3:00 PM on 5/21/2025. Any interpretation, correction to, or addition to the Bid Documents will be made by written Addendum and will be delivered by Email or fax to each prime Bidder of record. The written Addenda constitute the only interpretations of the Bid Documents; the Park District accepts no responsibility for any other claimed interpretations or communications. If the Bidder is in doubt as to the interpretation of any part of the Bid Documents, or finds errors, discrepancies or omissionsfrom any part of the Contract Documents, he must submit a written request for interpretation thereof not later than three (3) days prior to opening of bids to the Park District. Main / Lap pool is 5,620sq ft. Dive Pool is 2,039sq ft. Mask and protect all stainless steel and drains. Clean up and remove all blasting media and debris. Grind, cut, route and patch as needed existing cracks within pool floors and walls. Proposal includes allowance for minor patching/skim coating of walls after blasting to repair any pitted areas. Major repairs to walls are not included. Prep and patch as needed any broken and spalled concrete on pool floor. Remove existing sealant from all joints within main pool and dive pool. This includes the horizontal joint on pool wall under the perimeter gutter. Joint between gutter and pool deck is not included. Scrape and prep joints for new sealant including backer rod replacement. Prime joints with Vulcum 171 primer and apply 45SSL Sealant or an approved equitant. Apply two coats of approved epoxy coating to the entire main pool and dive pool including all floors, walls, stairs, stair edges, lane lines and targets. Aggregate to be added for slip resistant finish as required by Owner. New paint to be minimum of 5 mils and maximum of 8 mils. All work shall be complete by April 30th 2026
