The City of Ames is accepting bids for an annual contract for the purchase of 6-inch and 10-inch magnetic flow meters (mag meters) for the Water and Pollution Control Department. The bid will be only for the purchase of mag meters and will not include installation. The City intends to replace 18 mag meters over the term of the contract. The contract term will be November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025 with up to four (4) additional 12 month contract renewal periods upon mutual agreement for a total of up to five (5) years. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
