Omaha Streetcar - Special Trackwork for Modern Streetcar all questions regarding this procurement must be submitted in writing via e-Builder no later than 4:00pm CST on Thursday, October 17th, 2024. The streetcar plays a crucial role in Omaha's Urban Core Strategic Plan, aiming to enhance the City's transportation network while stimulating job growth, attracting and retaining talent, encouraging higher density development, and driving economic progress. The fixed nature of streetcar tracks is known to encourage adjacent development. The Omaha Streetcar route is approximately 3 miles and will connect Downtown Omaha, Midtown Omaha, and the Blackstone district. This project encompasses the layout and engineering of the system, featuring 16 stations, the replacement of two bridges crossing I-480, and the construction of a new facility for vehicle maintenance. A detailed map of the proposed route is shown in Figure 1 below.
