Reference Number 0000364461 The City of Pontiac is posting this Request for Quote (RFQ) to hire professional mowing service providers to help establish well-maintained lawns and green spaces that will contribute to the City's positive image and visual appeal. Regular mowing will help prevent overgrowth that can harbor pests and create unsafe spaces that can become a safety hazard. Maintaining green spaces for the City can also improve the City's air quality and help to ensure that the spaces are usable and welcoming if necessary The Purchasing Division intends to recommend that more than one service provider is awarded the bid based on the successful outcome of bid submissions. As requested, the service providers will be responsible for mowing parks and recreation areas. The City has 8 major parks with amenities and approximately 20 neighborhood parks. Please refer to Exhibit A for a listing of parks, facilities, and buildings. The service providers will also be responsible for mowing green spaces surrounding City-owned buildings, facilities, right-of-way areas, vacant lots, and undeveloped areas as identified by the Parks & Youth Recreation Director and the Department of Public Works Director or Superintendent.
