Reference Number 0000362302 Oakland County is soliciting a proposal for construction services for the above-mentioned project. The project manual included in this RFP was prepared by SME, Inc. The Oakland County campus contains 1.3 miles of underground steam tunnels that contain the steam distribution network and condensate return piping. Apart from the steam distribution and condensate return systems, the underground tunnels also house other important utilities, such as electrical and communications systems. These systems are crucial for the day-to-day functioning of the campus. The underground tunnels offer a safe and secure environment for these systems, protecting them from the elements and potential hazards on the surface. Some of the areas that were assessed were deemed critical and in need of immediate repair.
