Reference Number: 0000366696 41 Margin Street Demolition Question Deadline 12:00PM on October 30, 2024, Questions regarding this solicitation must be emailed and received by the Purchasing Agent at ecardillo@westerlyri.gov Questions, if any, and responses will be posted on online. Bid Price which exceed $50,000 must include a 5% Bid Bond and cost of Payment and Performance Bonds. The successful Bidder will be required to post a 100% Payment and Performance Bond. The Town of Westerly/Westerly Schools reserves the right to reject any/all bids, waive any informalities in the bids received and to accept and award the bid to the lowest evaluated bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town/School. Bid date info : Bids must be clearly marked with the Name and Address of Bidder, Bid Due Date and Time, and RFQ Number and Title. Bidders must include one original, one copy and a Digital for Public Use (soft) copy on thumb drive of the Bid as defined in the Instruction to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for the completion of the following work scope items: The Town of Westerly is requesting proposals from demolition companies to demolish a building/facility located at 41 Margin Street, approximately 3,750 gross square feet on approximately 4.35-acres and to remove all demolition debris to an appropriate disposal site. The demolition services desired include, but are not limited to, a complete asbestos inspection and testing, preparation of reports, project management, and on-site representation during performance of demolition and clean-up, as well as those further described herein. Disconnection of utilities, demolition of Facilities, debris removal, backfill and compact to match adjacent grades. All work must comply with the State of Rhode Island Building Code, with all revisions or the Town of Westerly Details. The successful bidder should possess broad expertise in demolition. Services required may include any of the following: Creating, reviewing, and revising demolition and clean-up plans. Preparing necessary reports to the Town related to the project's progress. Providing project management and inspections during the preparation, demolition, and clean-up and providing any requested reports to the Zoning/Building Administrator, or their designee.
