Asphalt Paving Project Grand Ledge High School 1.Scope of Work Remove existing asphalt Fine grade and compact aggregate base Install 2" of 13A (Tier 1 3% AV PG 58-28 liquid) HMA Apply an LTBC-2 bond coat Install 2" of 13A (Tier 1 3% AV PG 58-28 liquid) HMA Paint lines and symbols for parking Sub base - $30,000 allowance for sub base removal and replacement is to be included in the bid. Use of the allowance must be approved by the District in advance. Any unused allowance will be returned to the District. 2. Project Area Primary project consists of an area of approximately 2,641 square yards on the enclosed map labeled Area 1. The District is also seeking an alternate bid for an area of approximately 5,400 square yards on the enclosed map labeled Area 2. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid security in an amount of not less than 5% of the total base Bid sum, pledging that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with Grand Ledge Public Schools under the terms state in the Bid Documents. Bid Bonds shall be issued by a bonding company meeting the requirements of Section 006113 Performance and Payment Bond. Bid security may also be in the form of a certified check made out to the School District. All Bidders shall provide a familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attached this information to the Bid. The Bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or employee of the Bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School District, or the Superintendent of the School District. The Board of Education of the School District will not consider a Bid that does not include this sworn and notarized statement. Rights of Acceptance or Rejection The District reserves the right to reject Bids submitted without a signed Bid Signature Page. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole, or in part, and accept any Bid or portion of the Bid that, in their opinion, best serves the interests of the District. All bidders must indicate the cost of Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds covering 100% of the value of the Project. Do not include the cost of the Bonds in the Base Bid.
