GRDA may reject any bid that GRDA considers to be incomplete, improper, or non-responsive, in GRDA's sole discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, Bids in which the Bidder submits another form of Contract in lieu of the attached Contract. Bids will become the property of GRDA upon submission. Exceptions taken to the Contract terms and/or Bidding Documents may be cause for rejection of a Bid. Anticipated Contract Award. GRDA reserves the right to award multiple contracts, or no contracts, pursuant to this RFP. GRDA anticipates that, if a Contract is awarded pursuant to this RFP, the award will be made on or before: November 13, 2024. SCOPE OF WORK o Replace and repair 4600 sq ft of concrete sidewalks, curbs, and entrances. o Remove and install 51,000 sq ft of asphalt. Bid Criteria Considerations o Material and workmanship guarantee o References with pictures of past projects Project Objectives o Break up and remove sidewalk on the south and east side of building and install new. o Break up and remove two east entrances and curbing and install new. o Remove concrete asphalt to brick transition and reinstall. o Remove existing asphalt and put down 2"-3" of new asphalt. (approximately 51,000 sq ft) o Remove and repour small section of sidewalk on Northwest side. o The Contractor shall take all appropriate precautions to minimize incidental disturbance to areas outside the immediate work areas. o The Contractor shall be responsible for identifying all active subsurface utilities and/or pipelines by notifying appropriate line locator services and all other utility or pipeline operators in the site vicinity no less than 3 working days prior to the pre-start meeting and before initiating any subsurface disturbance on the site. Notification shall include, but is not limited to, CALL-OKIE, 1-800-522-6543. o The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating and sequencing the work of any subcontractors employed. Sidewalk Specifications o Sidewalk to match grade, width and length of existing sidewalk. o #3 rebar to be used on 18" centers in sidewalks. o 3500 PSI o Expansion joint to be installed every 50ft and against any existing concrete with zip bead and caulked to seal. o Control joint groove every 6ft. Tooled at time of pour. Concrete Entry Specifications o Entry to be the same size as current entry with the top side to be raised 2"-3" to accommodate asphalt transition. o #4 rebar to be used on 18" centers for entries. Doweled into existing concrete o Control joints to be cut in to control cracking. o Street gutter to match existing with the same slope. o Concrete depth to be no less than 6" o Minimum of 4,000 PSI o 48' of additional curb to be added to west entry. Asphalt Specifications o Remove all asphalt down to the concrete base. o Install new 2" minimum layer over old concrete base. o All concrete base needs to be inspected for crumbling areas that need to be dug out and compacted before covering with asphalt. o All existing parking striping and fire lanes to be repainted upon completion of new asphalt.
