The City of Fayetteville is soliciting bids for the construction of the Cape Fear River Trail Botanical Gardens Extension. Question Deadline 10/28/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Owner and Engineer in writing, . Questions received less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project includes the following Work: This project consists of: Extension of a 10-Foot wide paved path Approximate 550 Feet for walkers, joggers and bicyclists The Project has an expected duration of 240 days. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to City of Fayetteville in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates). Bidders must submit an acceptable bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check as Bid Security with their Bid pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-129. The acceptable bid bond must be issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in North Carolina and meet the requirements of the General Conditions. Cashier's or certified checks must be drawn on a bank or trust insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and made payable to the City of Fayetteville. Checks shall be effective on the day Bids are opened and valid for a period of at least ninety (90) days from the date the check is issued.
