The contract will furnish new Kamstrup water meters (3/4" x 5/8", 1", and 2"), meter boxes, meter box lids, curb stops, backflow preventers, and risers. Additionally, the contract will furnish Kamstrup READy Converter Kit, Kamstrup READy Manager AMR software and Leak Detector module with one (1) year of hosting. This shall include all licensing, activation of meters, training, and CIS billing integration. The Town of Brookside seeks to improve the water system and has obtained funding through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF #FS010344-01) American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) through the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations is required. All bids must be on bid forms provided in the Specifications and submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's Bond, payable to the Town of Brookside for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars, shall be filed with the bid. The bidders' bond shall be prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. A Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract cost in the form and terms approved by the Town of Brookside will be required at the signing of the contract. In addition, the bidder must furnish to the Town of Brookside, at the time of the signing of the contract, a certificate of insurance coverage as provided in the specifications. Bids shall be clearly identified on the exterior of the package with the bidder's name, address, the name of the project, and time and place of the bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technical errors if the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. All bids received after the date and time of the bid opening noted above will be returned unopened.
