Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Weeping Water, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids for the construction of two (2) concrete box culverts and other related incidental work. The project sites are located as follows: C-13(779) - on Mckelvie Road between S. 322 Street and S. 334 Street; C-13(787) - on S. 334 Street between Mckelvie Road and Alvo Road, both in Cass County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "STWD-CBMP(8): C-13(779) and C-13(787)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-13(779) - triple 12' x 10' x 43' concrete box culvert on a 20 degree skew (rhb); and C-13(787) - triple 12' x 12' x 42' concrete box culvert on a 0 degree skew, and other related incidental work Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Cass County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and an End of Construction date for each site with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all sites is June 15, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed sixty-five (65) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at the site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Elmwood Northeast, C-13(779) Structure No. C001302420 Section 24/25-T11N-R10E Murdock Southeast, C-13(787) Structure No. C001302520 Section 25/30-T11N-R10/11E No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Cass County Board of Commissioners. Cass County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award. The Cass County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114.
