A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Lauderhill Public Works Department is seeking proposals from a General Contractor for the rehabilitation of Lift Station No. 5. The rehabilitation consists of converting the current dry/wet well configuration into a submersible pump station. This upgrade includes converting the existing 6-feet diameter wet well into the new receiving manhole, partially demolish the existing dry well, the installation of a new valve vault with 6-inch discharge piping and a new 8-feet ID wet well, as well as the installation of a new control panel and electrical equipment. This upgrade will improve the reliability, operability, efficiency, and safety of Lift Station No. 5 and will extend the useful life of the station. The lift station No.5 is located on the north side of NW 16th Street, approximately 430 linear feet east from the NW 38th Avenue. All bidders must register online with the City of Lauderhill. Responsible questions regarding this BID offering may be submitted via online . The last date for questions pertaining to this proposal is ten days before the due date. Questions after this date will not be answered Question Cut Off Date: 5/20/2025 05:00 PM (ET) This upgrade includes: Converting the existing 6-feet diameter wet well into a new receiving manhole. Partially demolishing the existing dry well. Installing a new valve vault with 6-inch discharge piping. Installing a new 8-feet ID wet well. Installing a new control panel and electrical equipment. This upgrade will improve the reliability, operability, efficiency, and safety of Lift Station No. 5 and will extend the useful life of the station. The Lift Station No. 5 is located on the north side of NW 16th Street, approximately 430 linear feet east from the NW 38th Avenue. 1. Furnish and install a bypass pumping system as per the specifications. 2. Demolish and remove existing concrete structures as detailed in the plans, including the concrete slab and hatches, demolition of the existing dry well and wet well, vent system, piping inside the wet well, piping, valves, pumps, and appurtenances inside the dry well, removal of approximately 37 LF of 6-inch DIP force main, demolishing existing electrical equipment as indicated on electrical drawings, and any other appurtenant and miscellaneous work necessary for a complete, satisfactory, and functional demolition. 3. Remove and relocate the existing fire hydrant as shown on the plans. 4. Convert the existing 6-foot wet well into the new receiving manhole. 5. Furnish and install a new 8-foot ID wet well to house two (2) new submersible pumps. 6. Furnish and install the wet well top slab and hatches. 7. Furnish and install two (2) new submersible pumps, Flygt NP3153 HT-3 (463) with unclog impeller diameter 263 mm and 20 horsepower motors at 1,755 rpm, or an approved equal. 8. Furnish and install a new valve vault with 6-inch piping. 9. Furnish and install the valve vault top slab and hatches. 10. Furnish and install 6-inch discharge piping in the wet well to connect to the proposed valve vault. 11. Furnish and install approximately 30 LF of 6-inch DIP force main. 12. Construct the proposed asphalt driveway and concrete slabs as shown on the plans. 13. Restore asphalt pavement as shown on the plans. 14. Furnish and install a proposed picket fence around the station property. 15. Remove existing electrical service, electrical distribution, station controls, and low-voltage systems. 16. Abandon all above-ground infrastructure in place; remove all underground conduits. 17. Furnish and install all new electrical equipment as indicated on the plans. 18. The contractor shall apply for and obtain all permits required for construction of the project. 19. Preparation of the NPDES plan and permit is required, and it must be maintained throughout the entire construction period. 20. A Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan and its implementation are required to provide 24-hour access for all traffic along NW 16th Street. 21. All permitting and approvals are with the City of Lauderhill.
