A copy of the certified check, bid bond, or Share draft is to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. If a company who has a check is awarded the bid, the City will request the physical check at that time. The certified check or share draft will be returned to the successful bidder once the agreement has been executed. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and will be cause for rejection of bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance and a certificate of equal employment opportunity and comply with minimum wage provisions as established by the U.S. Department of Labor. The work under the proposed contract shall be completed as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All work is to be completed on or before June 1st, 2026, with Substantial Completion by September 30th, 2025. Question Deadline 10/23/2024 at 5:00 PM CT The City of Council Bluffs reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and waive any irregularities in the interest of the City. A. The following irrigation system, when fully completed shall water and be adjusted to all noted landscape/turf areas. It is the intent of the diagrammatic irrigation plan to install all products within the Owner's property limits and within all landscape turf areas. Contractor to utilize existing mechanical point of connection (POC) equipment, as located by Owner's Engineer. B. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting required to remove existing irrigation components and construct a new automatic irrigation system including but not limited to: 1. Irrigation connection to existing 2" tap, irrigation meter and RPZ backflow device located as per plan. Contractor to coordinate with City to provide new "Hot Box" protective cover over exposed backflow device utilizing existing slab. 2. Valves, mechanical and electrical; 3. Controller(s), rain switch with bypass (located by Owner's Engineer), and all wiring; 4. Sleeving and piping; and 5. Sprinklers and sub-surface dripline with all associated equipment for the complete operation of an automatic irrigation system. C. The Irrigation system shall be installed as a complete fully automatic coordinated system by a Certified CMF Global Fusion Contractor as well as CIC (certified irrigation contractor), current with I.A. (Irrigation Association) and an employee of bidding contractor. All equipment, whether mentioned or not shall be provided for the proper operation of irrigation system. Operation shall be as per manufacturer recommendations and to the satisfaction of Owner. All system components shall be coordinated to provide a fully compatible functioning system. D. Provide and install as required, the following - see all related plans and details: 1. Valves, fittings and piping - as per local codes by Licensed Plumber and included in Irrigation Contractors bid. All electrical supplied by Irrigation Contractor and performed by Licensed Electrician. E. Connect to existing stub-out and install a male pipe thread or flanged connection at turf end. Size as required. Coordinate with General Contractor and related trades. F. Provide and install 120V electrical power cable and outlet for irrigation controller power on separate circuit. Coordinate location with all trades including Owner. G. Provide and install sleeves under walks, drives and walls/planters. Both piping and communication cable sleeves shall be carried in Schedule 40 PVC or C900 PVC or HDPE DR11 (or as per local codes). Size, depth, and location as required (pipe sleeving 2 times piping carried). Coordinate with General Contractor and/or related trades. Question Deadline 10/23/2024 at 5:00 PM CT
